H&S – Safe Buildings

Health & Safety – Safe Buildings

Work continues to ensure that we have in place the necessary arrangements to ensure that the stewardship of our buildings optimises a safe experience for all as well as that of regulatory compliance. Your Trustees, the Kirk Session, have approved the Health and Safety Policy and General Risk Assessment (underpinned by various procedures) for 2018/2019. These are now supported by a Risk Register highlighting the additional control measures to be delivered on.

Key to keeping our buildings safe is how ALL of us approach their care and management. Your help and support are very much needed by your Session; together we can achieve more.

What can you do to help?

If you see something which is broken, damaged or creating a risky situation eg damaged flooring which could cause someone to trip and fall. Please report it.

NB. There are repair books on both church sites

If you see something taking place which appears unsafe. Please ask others to consider their actions in terms of their own or others’ safety.

The Policy will be displayed in each Church expressing to all what we are striving to achieve. A copy of the policy is available here. Your support is very much appreciated. Let’s have positive conversations about safety.
